If you are here, you must know John & Mary Bodkin, and their great kids.  At 7:37 on Friday night February the 13th Mary Elizabeth Bodkin passed from this world to the next.  Her death was just like the way she planned the births of her children. She was at home. She had on her favorite music. The family candle was burning. And she was surrounded by family and friends who loved her very much. Mary left behind a very saddened husband John Emerson Bodkin with whom she shared a wonderful marriage.

She gave this world a legacy of three uniquely inspired children, Dylan Fitzgerald Bodkin, 18, member of the Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department, graduate of Montgomery Blair High School, Eagle Scout and student at Montgomery College; Honest Charley Bodkin, 15, student at Northwood High School; and Molly McDermott Bodkin, 13, student at Silver Spring International Middle School. Mary was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched. She was a great wife and mother although she never considered herself qualified for the job.

My wife Ann and I are rejuvenating this donation website to help John and the kids through this very difficult time.
